Google has just recently updated its local search and now includes Canada. This is a great way for smaller businesses in Canada to get noticed on the internet, and helps local internet users to find products and/or services that much easier.
Ever since Google released its local search in the United States, I have been waiting for it to be implemented for Canada. Google local works with the Yellow Pages data to help pinpoint the local resources you are interested in finding. This will make using the yellow pages that much easier and useful for businesses who will have to make sure they are listed correctly and that their information is upto date.
