This is one of the most neglected and overlooked aspects of internet marketing. Far too many people think that they can simply put up a website for a something that they have an interest in and make money from it. The very first rule of whether an item is going to be successful is the age old 'Supply and Demand'.

Let's take a look at what we would consider to be a niche and what wouldn't be.

The term 'fishing' for example is too broad a niche and would not only return too many competitive websites but it would also be nearly impossible to do it justice as a niche website.

Instead, break it down smaller. 'Inshore Saltwater Fishing' gets smaller and if you break it down to a specific region like 'Gulf Coast Saltwater Fishing' then you have a sniper targeted niche, although one this small may be harder to monetize. Anyway, you get the gist of what I am trying to show here. You want to have niches in general that have say 1,000 searches a day or more but the ones that are returning results of over 500,000 per month are going to be hard to dominate. This isn't to say you can't make money from them, just don't expect to come in and be number one in a few months!

One tool you can use to monetize any website for specific keywords is ContextCash. This program was just released in November of 2005 and there are substantial benefits for getting in early. I urge you to check it out. I have hundreds of clicks daily just going to eBay Dynamic Landing Pages I have set up for various hot items like Motorola razr and xbox 360. The program has ClickBank and Amazon already pre-built into it and allows you to create you own keyword links. You paste a code into your site or sites and every time that keyword shows a dynamic link is created going to the url you have specified.

I am currently employing a number of web sites targeting specific niche markets where I have advertising placed from Yahoo, Google, or Chitika as well as applicable affiliate programs and ContextCash. The very first thing I did before buying these domains was to research them to be sure that I was investing my time and money in areas that would be profitable. If you are going to focus on building content sites to run Adsense or Yahoo ads on it is crucial that you do keyword research to determine the traffic and the amount of money people are willing to pay for the advertising or pay per clicks as they are known.

I have a couple of main tools that I use to do this research and I believe them to be invaluable if you are going to be successful in this type of marketing on the internet. The first is Adwords Analyzer, which will give you the number of searches for a particular keyword so you will know whether it is popular enough to bother with or not. In general you want something that has at least 1,000 searches a day, although with super targeted niches and high paying keywords you can sometimes get by with less.

The second keyword research tool I use is unique and I haven't seen anything like it on the internet. It is called the Online Gold Finder. With this software program you simply input the pay per click amounts you would like and how many searches and it gives you the keywords that fall into those categories. For example you would input a cost per click amount of say $2.00 and monthly searches of 100,000 to 500,000 and it will give you all the keywords that fall into that range.

Another method that I employ is by seeing what is hot on eBay at the moment and also what is being moved in large volumes paid by Paypal. This is very simple to do, all you have to do is go to Paypal and go to the shops link, and from there you can check different categories and see what is doing the best and even possibly find affiliates. For eBay, I use an inexpensive software program called Hot Item Finder that enables me to find the hottest selling items on eBay. This tool, in conjunction with ContextCash has been invaluable to me for monetizing my websites and blogs.

I recommend that you invest the time to research the first niche markets that you want to target and use the different tools I am introducing to you to help you monetize your sites to the max! Another thing you can do to get content for your blog and websites immediately is join some of the article membership sites that I will recommend to you later in the book.

Once you have determined the keywords that you want to target then head on over to Godaddy.com or whatever source you want to use to buy your domain.

The cool thing about Godaddy.com is that you can buy your domain and get your hosting and everything done at the same time. I suggest buying at least 10 domains at a time because once you have the system down that I am going to teach you in this book you will be able to put up at least 4 or 5 websites or blogs per day even if you have a fulltime job!

The tool that most internet marketers are using to maximize the number of customized niche blogs they can build is WordPress Elite, If you blog you must have this software program.

When you use this software in conjunction with an article automation plug in like WordPress Content, and submit your original articles to hundreds of directories using a program like Article Submitter Pro you will start getting tons of backlinks to you site.

Now add the power of press releases to hundreds of press release sites using a system like Jeff Alderson's Press Equalizer, which was just released and you have a recipe for success. Jeff, by the way is gving away a bonus search engine submission software with his Press Equalizer until December 10th, so hurry!

Keep an eye out for my new book, "The Internet Marketing Secrets", coming the first week of January! Free to visitors to this site!!
