Web content writers and press release professionals can now get SEO content writing and SEO press release training from Search Engine Academy Washington DC.

Search Engine Academy Washington DC (SEA DC) created two new SEO training courses for writers and media relations professionals. The two courses are SEO web content writing and SEO for press release professionals.

Initially, the two courses will be taught in the Washington DC metropolitan area and eventually will be offered throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, metropolitan New York City and Boston.

SEA DC will schedule the two new courses on demand as requested by individuals and agencies who wish to reserve private training sessions.

According to Nancy E. Wigal, the owner and operator of SEA DC, not everyone needs full-blown SEO training. Web content writers are attracted to the SEO web page writing course to add SEO copywriting to their skills set for greater marketability and upselling a new service to prospects and clients. "One thing I've noticed is that with web copy writers who don't have SEO, another warm body has to be recruited to do the final optimization of web content. This is not efficient. Web page writers certainly have the capacity to learn very basic SEO, so I created a one day course especially for web content writers to be more useful when competing for writing assignments."

Nancy will teach writers how to do keyword research and optimize web page elements, as well as show them the benefits of adding Google Authorship, optimized blogging and other advanced SEO concepts to boost their marketability. Writers have the opportunity to practice their new skills in class to gain confidence in optimizing web content.

The SEO for press release experts is a half day course that teaches media professionals how to do keyword research and optimize press releases for greater online visibility in search results. Class exercises include doing keyword research and actually optimizing a press release to reinforce the concepts and principles students learn.

Both courses are taught face to face in a classroom environment. Students are encouraged to bring laptops to class that are capable of accessing the internet, since some of the work must be completed online.

Attendees of both courses are given class materials to keep and refer to after they complete any SEO class. In addition, all students are offered six months SEO mentoring at no extra cost to ensure they are applying their SEO knowledge and skills properly.

Any professional writer or PR professional who wants to gain new skills and upsell more services to clients are encouraged to contact SEA DC to learn more about the individual courses and the upcoming 2014 schedule. Nancy said, "Anyone who does any work that is going to show up on the internet should be familiar with basic search engine optimization skills and strategies. We all have to keep up with what's in demand to stay employed."
