Company’s AI-Powered Technology to Ensure Originality of SEO Content

Copyleaks, an AI, cloud-based plagiarism detection solution, today announced that the company is partnering with SEMrush to provide plagiarism detection within the new SEO Writing Assistant, an add-on for Google Docs that analyzes how well content complies with SEO recommendations. Enhanced by the Copyleaks Plagiarism Checker, the smart extension available for both Google Doc and WordPress is able to detect the total number and percentage of copied words in the user’s text and identify the original sources of content from the internet.

“Unique content is crucial for reaching your target audience and matching user intent,” said Olga Andrienko, Head of Global Marketing at SEMrush. “Using duplicate or stolen content will only hurt your business, as prospects won’t understand why they should choose you over others if you sound like everyone else. Additionally, Google will simply not expose you to its users. SEMrush’s SEO Writing Assistant solves two of these problems at once—it helps companies craft the best content to match user intent in search and makes sure it’s not plagiarized.”

According to SEMrush data, searches for “plagiarism checker” increased by 22.2 percent during the past three years, demonstrating the growing need for such tools. Using artificial intelligence, Copyleaks is able to find similar content, going beyond exact word matches, which is crucial, considering experts are plagiarizing content of all kinds. A strong addition to the content tools of the SEMrush suite, the Copyleaks Plagiarism Checker will be useful for all professionals involved in writing content.

“We understand the importance of original content in SEO, which is why the partnership between Copyleaks and SEMrush is mutually beneficial,” said Alon Yamin, CEO co-Founder of Copyleaks, which closed a $1.1 million round of funding earlier this year. “Catching plagiarized content immediately is crucial for businesses of all sizes.”

The add-in is available for free in the Google Chrome store.
